Epic Games hat das Kurzfilmfestival “Short Nite” angekündigt, das am 20. Februar 2021 um 20 Uhr beginnen wird. Im Zuge dieses 24-stündigen Events werden im Party-Royale-Modus von Fortnite zwölf animierte Kurzfilme gezeigt. Die Kurzfilme sind zusammengerechnet knapp 30 Minuten lang und werden ohne Unterbrechung 24 Stunden lang wiederholt. Einer der Filme ist “Bench” von Regisseur Rich Webber.

Epic Games: “Das Filmfestival startet am Samstag, dem 20. Februar 2021 um 20 Uhr und wird 24 Stunden pausenlos, bis zum 21. Februar 2021 um 20 Uhr, wiederholt. Ein Durchgang der Filme wird rund 30 Minuten dauern, sodass Interessenten jederzeit rein- und rausspringen können, falls sie einen Film verpasst haben oder mehrfach sehen wollen. Für Filme mit Dialog gibt es deutsche Untertitel, die über die ‘Untertitel’-Funktion in den Audio-Einstellungen von Fortnite eingeschaltet werden können. Zuschauen kann jeder im Party Royale-Modus oder auch im Battle Royale-Modus via Bild-in-Bild-Funktion. Ein Aufnehmen oder Streamen der Kurzfilme ist wie auch im echten Kino nicht gestattet. Jegliches aufgenommene Material wird daher automatisch geschwärzt.”

Rich Webber: “Die positive Resonanz zu Benchs Debüt war eines der Highlights des vergangenen Jahres. Wir freuen uns sehr darauf den Film in Fortnite zeigen zu können, um so einen Teil zur Magie des Kurzfilmfestivals in Party Royale beitragen zu können”.
