Das Warten hat ein Ende: Fallout London ist erschienen. Eigentlich schon für den April 2024 geplant, haben sich die Arbeiten noch ein wenig verzögert. Nun ist aber alles fertig und ihr könnt die riesige Mod zocken, sofern ihr im Besitz von Fallout 4 inklusive der DLCs seid.

Wie bereits zuvor angekündigt, könnt ihr das Fan-Projekt allerdings nur mit einer älteren Version des Bethesda-Rollenspiels genießen. Das vor wenigen Monaten veröffentlichte Next Gen-Update wird noch nicht unterstützt. Ihr müsst euch aber nicht sorgen: Die Entwickler*innen von Team FOLON stellen ein Tool bereit, um eure Version problemlos zu downgraden.

Fallout London: Hier findet ihr den Download

Anders als viele andere bekannte Mods gibt es die britische Total Conversion übrigens nicht bei Nexus Mods – das Projekt ist zu groß. Stattdessen könnt ihr Fallout London über GOG herunterladen und spielen, wobei ein Benutzerkonto bei der Distributionsplattform eine Voraussetzung ist.

Außerdem benötigt ihr zum Spielen zwingend Fallout 4 und alle bisher veröffentlichten DLCs oder alternativ die Game of the Year-Edition auf Steam oder GOG. Im Falle der Steam-Version müsst ihr eure Installation zudem auf eine frühere Patch-Version downgraden: Das könnt ihr entweder manuell über eine Anleitung erledigen oder greift auf ein spezielles Tool von Team FOLON zurück, welches über Nexusmods angeboten wird.

Solltet ihr Fallout 4 nur im Epic Games Store besitzen oder über den Game Pass spielen, dann müsst ihr jedoch auf Fallout London verzichten. Hier gibt es leider derzeit keine Möglichkeit, eine frühere Version wiederherzustellen.

Wie geht es nun weiter?

Mit dem Release von Fallout London ist für Team FOLON noch kein Schlussstrich zu ziehen. Das Team wird noch etwaige Patches bereitstellen, sowie an der Kompatibilität zum Next Gen-Update von Fallout 4 arbeiten. Allerdings wird Letzteres noch ein wenig Zeit brauchen.
