Das amerikanische Software-Unternehmen Epic Games hat einige große Spiele-Titel herausgebracht und auch mit ihrer hauseigenen Spiele-Engine großen Einfluss auf die Entwicklung der Computer- und Videospielindustrie genommen.

Epic Games Store: Laufen mit Höchstgeschwindigkeit in Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield

Schneller als sonst müsst ihr dieses Mal nicht sein, dafür aber eure Beine in die Hand nehmen. Denn mit

Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield

bekommt ihr diese Woche im Epic Games Store eine Art Endless-Runner geschenkt, bei dem ihr in der Rolle von Wally durch einen (größtenteils) urbanen Hindernisparcours sprintet und dabei Autos, Zäunen und anderen Gegenständen ausweichen müsst.

Untermalt von einem Jazz-lastigen Soundtrack zeigt der eingebettete Gameplay-Trailer, wie das in der Praxis aussieht. Besonders verlockend, falls ihr nur mal eine kurze Ablenkung braucht: Es dauert nur rund anderthalb Stunden, um Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield einmal durchzuspielen. Wer Gefallen an der virtuellen Laufstrecke gefunden hat, kann danach natürlich noch in guter alter Speedrunning-Manier seine Zeit verbessern.

Das Gratis-Spiel nächste Woche im Epic Games Store

Seid ihr keine großen Marathon-Menschen oder schielt schon außer Puste auf nächste Woche? Dann haben wir gute Neuigkeiten für euch, schließlich wartet auch dann ein neues Gratis-Spiel auf euch im Epic Games Store. Ab dem 7. März um 17 Uhr steht dann Astro Duel 2 in den Startlöchern, und will euch mit Top-Down-Weltraumgefechten vor den Bildschirm fesseln, statt euch auf dem Sportplatz schwitzen zu lassen.

Technisch gesehen nicht gratis, aber immerhin ohne Zusatzkosten für aktive Abonnenten gibt es noch eine Reihe an Spielen an anderer Stelle: Wer Amazon Prime Gaming nutzt, darf sich im März daher gleich über acht Titel freuen, PlayStation Plus-Mitglieder bekommen immerhin vier Kandidaten serviert. Für den ein oder anderen davon könnte sich zumindest ein einmonatiges Abo glatt lohnen.
