Video-Test: Elden Ring DLC - Shadow of the Erdtree

Wir haben die Elden Ring-Erweiterung Shadow of the Erdtree ausgiebig getestet und verraten euch alles Wissenswerte.

Mit Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree brachte FromSoftware nicht nur ein großes neues Gebiet und zahllose Bosse in seinen bislang größten Erfolgshit, sondern auch eine neue Art neue Levelmechanik: Die Scadubaum-Fragmente.

Die fallen euch jedoch nicht einfach vor eure Füße, sondern müssen erst gefunden werden, teilweise sogar etwas mühselig. Wer darauf keine Lust hat und lieber seinen auf klassischem Weg gelevelten Charakter nutzen möchte, der kann sich freuen: Am PC könnt ihr die Jagd nach den Fragmenten schon jetzt ins Jenseits schieben.

Elden Ring: Mod wirft die Scadubaum-Fragmente über Bord

Aus welchem Grund auch immer ihr die Scudubaum-Fragmente ablehnen solltet, der Modder Sereenaty greift euch mit “Normalized DLC damage” unter die Arme. Das auf Nexusmods veröffentlichte Tool bringt zwei Änderungen mit sich, die eher das klassische Elden Ring-Gefühl in die Welt von Shadows of the Erdtree bringen.

Zum einen müsst ihr nach der Installation nie wieder Scadubaum-Fragmente und Segen der Verehrten Geisterasche sammeln. Stattdessen wird eine Skalierung implementiert, die sich am Original orientiert, sprich euer normales Charakterlevel ist wieder entscheidender. Das gilt sowohl für euch als auch natürlich für die Bosse.

Die aktuelle Version der Mod wirft die Scadubaum-Fragmente sogar komplett raus. Allerdings findet ihr trotzdem noch vereinzelt ein paar, da die Modifikation noch nicht final ist. Die aktuellen Mod-Tools sind laut Sereenaty noch nicht vollständig für Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree ausgelegt, weshalb es diesbezüglich noch ein paar Fehlerchen gibt.

Einfacher, aber nicht einfach

Darüber hinaus heißt es, dass die Skalierung mit der Mod an die Endgame-Gebiete angepasst ist. Anders ausgedrückt: Durch das Entfernen der Scadubaum-Fragmente wird Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree vielleicht etwas einfacher in den Bosskämpfen, aber keinesweg so, dass ihr einfach durchmarschiert.

Außerdem steht geschrieben, dass die Mod bisher nur auf Charakteren getestet wurde, die noch kein einziges Scadubaum-Fragment aufgesammelt haben. Solltet ihr das schon hinter euch gebracht haben, dann hat die Modifikation laut einigen Kommentaren keinen Einfluss und läuft schlichtweg ins Leere.
