Den Foto-Modus in Death Stranding stellen Kojima Productions und 505 Games in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Landschaftsfotografen Pete Rowbottom näher vor. In dem Video probiert Rowbottom die Funktionen des Fotomodus aus und gibt Tipps, wie man mehr aus den eigenen virtuellen Landschaftsfotos herausholen kann. Pete erklärt auch, warum er bestimmte Szenerien für seine Fotos ausgewählt hat und inwiefern sie den Umgebungen in Death Stranding ähneln.

“Um die epischen Landschaften in Hideo Kojimas Death Stranding (…) zu würdigen, hat das unabhängige Spiele-Entwicklerstudio den Landschaftsfotografen des Jahres 2018 und passionierten Gamer Pete Rowbottom eingeladen, die einzigartigen Möglichkeiten des spielinternen Fotomodus zu erkunden und dann ähnlich melancholische und ebenso schöne reale Landschaften bildlich einzufangen”, heißt es.
