Auf der Tokyo Game Show 2018 präsentierte Hideo Kojima zwei neue Charaktere aus Death Stranding und stellte die japanischen Synchronsprecher vor (Überblick). Der erste Neuling wird von Tommie Earl Jenkins gespielt. Sein Name soll ein Geheimnis sein. Er ist der Boss von Sam und trägt eine Maske. Der zweite Charakter trägt den Titel “der Mann in der goldenen Maske” und wurde mit der folgenden Cutscene, die auf einer PlayStation 4 lief, eingeführt. Er wird von Troy Baker gespielt und ist laut Akio Otsuka (Synchronsprecher) nicht unbedingt “böse”.

Am Ende des Panels sagte Hideo Kojima laut Dualshockers, dass das Spiel auf Kurs ist und in dem Jahr erscheinen wird, in dem Akira von Katsuhiro Otomo angesiedelt ist – und das ist das Jahr 2019.

  1. Den ersten Trailer fand ich strange mit einem Touch Realismus. Hat mir sehr gefallen. Auch der zweite Trailer war interessant. Das hier war irgendwie ein bisschen Klische-Over-the-Top und hat auf mich eher wie ein Final-Fantasy-Monster-Kampf gewirkt. Hm. Einfach mal abwarten.

  2. also echte Schauspieler in Spielen finde ich klasse, irgendwie macht es das auf eine unerklärliche Weise besonders :lol:
    Jesse Williams aus Detroit Become Human, Josh Duhamel aus CoD WW2 / Transformers ... riiichtig fett :)
    auch der Lost-Kerl in Quantum Break, oder jedes Mal wenn ich Trevor in Walking Dead oder Better Caul Saul sah, musste ich gleich an GTA V denken
    mich ködern sie mit sowas immer ganz gut :Hüpf:
    und Norman Reedus fand ich in TWD eh schon sehr gut

  3. Keine Ahnung warum wieder über die Traileranzahl mokiert wird. Kann sich noch wer an das Jahr vor dem MGS 4 Release erinnern? Das ist Kojima. Er liebt seine kryptische Übermittlung. Wer sich daran stört, sollte aufhören News über Kojima Spiele zu lesen :D

    Mir wird das Ganze auch langsam etwas zu "filmisch". Sieht kaum noch nach einem Spiel aus. Man darf gespannt sein.
    Da Kojima sich ja bekanntlich völlig frei austoben darf, könnte am End einfach ein hochgestylter, schräger und etwas spielbarer Film herauskommen. In Mikkelsen scheint er ja geradezu vernarrt zu sein und mit cutscenes spart K bekanntlich ja auch nicht.
    Der Artstyle sieht toll aus, auf ein Spiel, wo ich alle 20 Minuten dann mal kurz an den Controller darf, habe ich aber zumindest keinen Bock.
    Don´t fuck it up, Kojima.
    Nur zur Info: Metal Gear Solid 4 hatte eine 27 Minuten lange Cutscene.
    Die ganzen Metal Gear Solid Spiele hatten immer viele lange Cutscenes, die insgesamt manchmal zusammengerechnet bis zu 10 Stunden Cutscene-Material ergaben (pro Spiel). Dies ist ein Kojima Game, warum sollte das hier anders werden? Trotzdem waren die Metal Gear Spiele auch spielerisch intressant und keine Walking Simulatoren, warum sollte das dann hier anders werden?
    Es wird sicher halt wieder ein Kojima Game, wenn auch mit einem neuen intressanten Setting. Man darf gespannt sein. Ich freu mich drauf.
