Borderlands (Film)(Filme & Serien) von Lionsgate

Borderlands wird verfilmt und nein, Mad-Max-Regisseur George Miller wird nicht auf dem Regie-Stuhl sitzen. Die Film-Umsetzung wird von Eli Roth inszeniert. Neben einer Rolle als Schauspieler in Inglorious Basterds (Sgt. Donny Donowitz) führte er bei Cabin Fever (2002), Hostel (2005), Hostel 2 (2007), Death Wish (2018) und Das Haus der geheimnisvollen Uhren (2018) Regie.

Der Film entsteht bei Lionsgate. Das Drehbuch wird Craig Mazin (u.a. Chernobyl und The Huntsman & the Ice Queen) schreiben. Produzenten sind Avi Arad, Ari Arad und Erik Feig. Aber auch Randy Pitchford (Chef von Gearbox Interactive; Borderlands-Entwickler) und Strauss Zelnick (Chef von Take-Two Interactive; Borderlands-Publisher) sind als ausführende Produzenten beteiligt. Das Projekt soll bereits seit fünf Jahren in Planung sein.

“Mit Elis Vision und Craigs Drehbuch glauben wir, dass wir den Code geknackt haben, um die anarchische Welt von Borderlands auf eine große Leinwand zu bringen, die ein frisches, fesselndes und kinoreifes Ereignis für Kinobesucher und Fans des Spiels sein wird”, sagte Nathan Kahane, Präsident der Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, in einem Erklärung, die dem Hollywoodreporter.com vorliegt.   2. Ich weiß ja nicht...
    Mochte Tales from the Borderlands zwar sehr gerne aber sowas will sich im Kino doch keiner anschauen.
    Wird am Ende mit relativ hohen Wahrscheinlichkeit ein Marvel-look-a-like Film werden, damit er an der Kasse ja genug einspielt....
