VR-Publisher und -Entwickler Vertigo Games sowie Jaywalkers Interactive haben gestern den DLC The Damned für den VR-Shooter Arizona Sunshine veröffentlicht. Dabei handelt es sich laut Pressemitteilung um ein selbstständiges Kapitel in der Geschichte des räumlichen Zombie-Gemetzels.



The Damned DLC ist demnach die bisher umfangreichste Erweiterung zum Titel und ist zum Preis von 4,99 euro für PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive und Windows Mixed Reality verfügbar:


“The Damned DLC ist zeitlich vor den Ereignissen des Hauptspiels und des Dead Man DLCs angesiedelt und lässt den Spieler in die Haut des neuen Protagonisten Liam schlüpfen. Als einer der wenigen Überlebenden der Zombie-Apokalypse, schließt er sich einem Team von US-Spezialeinsatzkräften auf einer furchteinflößenden Mission an: sie sollen einen von Zombies überrannten Staudamm reaktivieren. Ohne Vorwarnung wird das Team in schreckliche Ereignisse verwickelt, die den Protagonisten dazu zwingen, allein weiterzumachen oder mit einem Freund im Koop-Modus zu versuchen, sein Ziel zu erreichen.

Der Spieler muss sich auf den Weg auf den Staudamm hinauf und hinein machen und dabei eine brandneue Gegend von bisher nicht gekannten Ausmaßen erkunden. Liams Höhenangst macht das Vorhaben nicht leichter, während er vom Staudamm in die bodenlose Leere späht und sich vorsichtig über provisorische Pfade, die alles andere als vertrauenerweckend wirken, über den Abgrund bewegt. Die fleischfressenden Untoten können jederzeit hervorgekrochen kommen, um die Überlebenskünste des Spielers auf die Probe zu stellen, während er versucht, die Apokalypse aufzuhalten.”
