Gestern hatte Next-Gen berichtet, Infinity Ward (Call of Duty 1,2 und 4) habe sich mit Activision darauf geeinigt, dass zukünftige Vertreter der Serie nur noch vom Studio höchstselbst entwickelt werden sollen – Call of Duty 3 <A class=DYNLINK onmouseover="DynToolTipp_Show('Klicken für Gameinfos‘)” onmouseout=”DynToolTipp_Hide(); ” href=”javascript:DynCont_Display(‘Gamefinder’,’runmod.php?sid={SID}&LAYOUT=dyncont_gf&spielid=7907′)”> war von Treyarch produziert worden, welche auch für Call of Duty 5 <A class=DYNLINK onmouseover="DynToolTipp_Show('Klicken für Gameinfos‘)” onmouseout=”DynToolTipp_Hide(); ” href=”javascript:DynCont_Display(‘Gamefinder’,’runmod.php?sid={SID}&LAYOUT=dyncont_gf&spielid=16668′)”> zuständig sind.

Der Bericht basierte auf Informationen von einem ehemaligen Angestellten Undergrounds. Das Studio war vor ein paar Tagen vom Publisher geschlossen worden und hatte angeblich an einem Action-Adventure-Ableger der Shooter-Reihe gewerkelt. Das Projekt sei aber als Folge der Exklusivitätsvereinbarung eingestellt worden.

Activision selbst will jenes Zugeständnis allerdings nicht bestätigen. Die angebliche Vereinbarung sei nichts anderes als ein “total fabriziertes” Gerücht, so ein Sprecher des Unternehmens. Infinity Ward und Treyarch würden auch weiterhin abwechselnd an der Serie arbeiten.

    Eine Frage: Erschien CoD 2 auch für den PC 2005 ?? bin mir da nicht so sicher aber es wurde ja für die 360 neu aufgelegt!! Nur wegen dem jährlichen erscheinungsdatum!

    wer weiß, zu was man IW im vertrag verdonnert hat.
    allerdings wird die jährliche fortsetzung erst gefährlich, wenn sie von einem studio kommen. dann ist das zeitlich doch gar nicht zu schaffen. wenn sich die entwickler abwechseln, kann's doch wurscht sein.

  4. Es ists chon bekannt, dass CoD wieder ein moderes Setting haben wird. Da müsste man mal die 4players-news durchforschenWWII halten die Macher aber auch nicht für ausgeluscht. Dagegen find eich, dass es eigentlich kein langweiligeres Setting als den zweiten Weltkrieg gibt.

  5. Jop, WW2 find ich auch cool, will ich auch mal wieder haben ;)
    Nur schade für IW, dass sie vom Publisher wie Marionetten behandelt werden..
    Ich mein, dieses jährliche Rythmus ist doch sowas von bekloppt, man braucht doch nicht jedes Jahr eine Fortsetzung! :roll:
