Am 28. Januar 2021 wird das Fraktionspaket “Ajax & Diomedes” für A Total War Saga: Troy im Epic Games Store für 9,99 Euro veröffentlicht. Die Download-Erweiterung umfasst zwei neue Fraktionen (Salamis (Ajax) und Argos (Diomedes)) mit eigenen Kampagnenmechaniken und 18 Einheiten, darunter salamische Seesoldaten, argivische Schwertmeister, Ajax’ Wall und mehr. Neu sind ebenfalls Kriegskoryphäen-Einheiten, das sind erfahrene Versionen regulärer Einheiten, die von einem Offizier angeführt werden.

“Ajax der Große verkörpert das Schild, welches das achäische Heer schützt. Er ist für seine unübertroffene Stärke und riesige Gestalt bekannt. Seine Truppen bauen auf eine langsame, aber sehr stark bewaffnete, defensive Infanterie, die die Gefechtsstellung hält, während mächtige Geschosseinheiten sichere Positionen zu ihrem Vorteil nutzen.”

“Diomedes, der König von Argos, ist kriegserprobt und hat seine martialische Macht dazu genutzt, Argos zu einer überaus mächtigen Stadt zu machen. Nur Mykene ist dem noch überlegen. In seinen Reihen finden sich Axt- und Schwertinfanterie, die vernichtende Schläge ausführen können, sowie leichtfüßige, aufs Flankieren aus überraschenden Positionen spezialisierte Einheiten.”

Das Fraktionspaket enthält außerdem kostenlose Inhalte für das Grundspiel. Dazu zählt unter anderem der Zugriff auf Hephaistos, dem Gott des Feuers und der Schmiedekunst, sowie auf den göttlichen Handwerker, einem epischen Agenten.
