-Entwickler Bombservice und Dangen Entertainment haben das 2D-Action-Adventure Minoria am 27. August 2019 für PC (Steam, GOG, Humble Store, itch.io) veröffentlicht, wo zum Teil noch ein Launch-Rabatt von zehn Prozent auf den Verkaufspreis gewährt wird. Die bisherigen Nutzerreviews auf Steam sind “sehr positiv” (derzeit sind 81 Prozent von 235 Reviews positiv). Auf GOG liegt der aktuelle Wertungsschnitt bei 4,1 von fünf Sternen.

Die Macher schreiben über das auch für Nintendo Switch in Entwicklung befindliche Spiel: “Minoria ist das neueste und ambitionierteste Spiel von Bombservice, den Machern der Momodora-Serie, die gleichzeitig geistiges Vorbild für das Spiel war. Fans von Momodora werden in Sachen Design und Gameplay bekannte Elemente wiederfinden, darunter das Parieren, Ausweichen und eine Vielzahl verschiedener Zauber. Visuell präsentiert sich das Spiel in HD und besticht ästhetisch mit einem Mix aus handgezeichneten 2D-Hintergründen und Charakteren im Cel-Shading-Stil.

Schauplatz der Geschichte ist der Vierte Hexenkrieg. Es ist die Zeit religiösen Fanatismus. Auf der einen Seite steht das Sakralamt, eine mächtige Einrichtung der Kirche, die eine Inquisition gegen die Ketzerei führt, um die Sünder zu läutern, die die Menschheit bedrohen. Auf der anderen Seite stehen die sogenannten ‘Hexen’, die für eine geheimnisvolle Zeremonie verantwortlich zeichnen, die gegen die Regeln der Kirche verstößt.

Begib dich gemeinsam mit den Schwestern Semilla und Fran, Missionarinnen im Dienst der Kirche, auf ihre Reise, die Zeremonie der Hexen zu stoppen und das gemeine Volk vor der Bedrohung durch die Ketzerei zu beschützen.”
